Proposed 2026 Projects
Some of the largest projects that would be funded by this year’s GO Bond are designed to move our state forward:
$116,000,000 for a new medical school at UNM that would double the number of doctors we train in-state within 10 years
$17,650,000 for Phase 2 of a Reforestation Center to help rebuild areas affected by wildfires and floods by creating a reforestation economy that restores New Mexico’s forests and the ecosystems they provide.
$15,000,000 for a Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurial Center at CNM that will prepare students for careers in technologies and the industries shaping our state’s future
$15,000,00 for an Agriculture and Arts Building at ENMU that will provide state-of-the art education to support innovation in farming and ranching
$40,000,000 for important improvements to the Mineral Science and Engineering complex at New Mexico Tech

$8 Million for construction of a Core Research Center to address a critical need for a centralized, modern space to house, preserve and facilitate research on geological core samples collected from deep wells throughout New Mexico to better understand geothermal energy and low-carbon energy solutions such as carbon sequestration and hydrogen storage.
